Maybe it is just the quality and the good taste. The Kendlbacher Getränkevertriebs GmbH does not need to worry which of these reasons is the right one: The start-up’s juices and ice creams in apple strudel and apricot dumplings flavors have struck a chord with the zeitgeist - and not only in Austria. The products are sold through major retail chains even abroad, for example in Asia and the United States.
However, in the face of rapidly growing sales, the company had to rapidly rethink its IT. The existing infrastructure of office programs and stand-alone solutions led increasingly to a lack of transparency and a great administrative burden. We were looking for a professional ERP solution to optimally control the production and sales processes. In order to save as much time as possible, the new ERP system needed be designed and implemented without an interruption of operations. One important aspect for the beverage manufacturer was user-friendliness. "We are growing very fast. For new employees, the software should therefore be easy to understand and easy to learn", emphasized Dr. Ries Bouwman, Managing Director of Kendlbacher Getränkevertriebs GmbH.
Because of its similarity to the familiar Microsoft Office package, the company decided to introduce the ERP software Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The contract for the implementation of the project went to the COSMO CONSULT group. Europe's leading Microsoft Dynamics partner carried the day because it had the necessary expertise and years of experience in the realization of ERP projects in various industries.
In just six days, COSMO CONSULT designed a seamless solution that covers not only financial accounting and production, but also purchasing and sales. In addition, the new business software was rounded out with liquidity management and reporting functions. After just one training day, the beverage manufacturer switched to live operations. "The great similarity to Microsoft Office and the introductory training provided by COSMO CONSULT were crucial factors in our ability to start with Dynamics NAV immediately," recalls Bouwman.
Today, the company benefits from a clear, easy-to-use ERP system that covers all business processes. "We can now directly access important core figures, for example revenue and sales figures, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts, without first tediously gathering the information from various different systems.
